After School Special - Self-Titled
Back in 1997, After School Special released their only full-length recording on the Mutant Pop Records —a near-perfect, 30-minute blast of melodic punk rock. Despite never playing a single live show, the band built a devoted cult following that has endured for nearly three decades.
This release marks a significant milestone for fans and collectors. Originally available exclusively on CD, After School Special’s self-titled is now being reissued for the first time on vinyl, alongside an expanded double CD edition.
The vinyl edition features the original 14 tracks presented in their original sequence. It offers longtime fans the opportunity to experience the classic album exactly as it was released in 1997.
The first disc of the expanded double cd includes the original 14 songs plus two bonus songs recorded during those sessions, bringing the total to 16 studio tracks.
The second disc features 4-track demos of all 16 songs from the first disc. Together, the two discs provide both the polished studio recordings and their demo counterparts, creating an alternative listening experience of an old classic.
